Are you ready for a 11,250% increase in seat time…for free?
I am always listening to you and looking for ways to solve problems – and I’m solving a huge one on August 29th, 2016. Watch the promo video below.
A lot of people who land on my site like to chat and share what’s working for them, as well as what they’re having problems with.
Over the past year it’s becoming quite obvious that nearly all autocross racers love grassroots racing, but want more seat time.
I guess that makes sense, since an autocrosser only gets 8 minutes of seat time on a good day.
I didn’t see it at first, because this has never been a problem for me. I’ve always had as much seat time as I wanted.
Back when I started my high performance driving career as a professional stunt driver in 2007, one of the first things I did was find a way to get…
…my own private practice space. For free.
I went there at least two days per month for several months.
When you do the math, you’ll see that jumping from 8 minutes a month to 900 give you an increase of 11,250%.
This extra seat time was what launched my driving career in film, television, and live entertainment. The experience and consistency I learned from using the private practice space was my number one asset – my unfair advantage.
There were a lot of drivers coming out of stunt driving schools at the time, myself included. I had attended the Driverseast High-Performance Driving School in Wall, NJ and the International Stunt School in Seattle, WA.
There was no question about the raw talent at those schools – the competition was tough.
But after we all returned home, having the private practice space made me stand out. It allowed me to create an excellent entry level demo video to market myself, and it led to several local sponsorships that supported my driving endeavors.
Here’s my very first stunt driving demo, from way back in 2007. Look at all that hair! Enjoy it while you can. The space in the video is in the Great State of Maine. I’ve had multiple practice spaces in Maine, as well as New Jersey and Pennsylvania. All without spending a penny.
While other drivers were getting rusty without a place to practice their driving, I was rocketing ahead.
Having a private practice space shaped my entire driving career.
And it works the same way in the racing world. With a private practice space you’ll be able to:
- Set up a lap timer and collect data for analysis
- Effectively implement new knowledge into your racing program
- Having ample seat time to perfect new techniques
- A/B test different model tires and settle the endless tire debate yourself
- Try various setups, including anti-roll bar adjustments and tire pressures
- Gain a massive advantage over other autocross drivers and teams
