New Beginnings and updates

By now, most of you have heard that there have been some changes here at RacersHQ. We’re still live, and there will be much more content coming in the weeks ahead.

For those of you that missed the Facebook Live event, I recommend you check it out here:
Start about ten minutes in to get to the start of the video.

Here’s a brief synopsis of what was covered in the video:

Matt has stepped down from controlling the website and podcast. Late last year, Matt reached out to me to inquire if I’d like to take over the website. I gladly accepted.

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Jake. I ran The Rags to Races Podcast. I’ve been involved in motorsports in one way or another for the past 17 years. I’ve autocrossed. I’ve done track days. Most recently, I started Kart racing, and I’ve been crew chief or crew member on several road racing teams. In the coming year, I’ll be racing my kart and pulling crew chief duties along with driving a budget endurance car that is currently being built.

I’ve already started lining up people to talk to for both articles and the podcast. Expect to see new podcasts coming in the next two weeks. The podcast will stay with the same short-form layout. No more than 30 minutes per episode. I’ve also reached out to several people to write new articles for the website. While RacersHQ will stay focused on the driver, I’m opening up the door to include “support” staff. Crew members, Pit crew members, engineers, corner workers and the like. Without these critical team members, we couldn’t race.

I will also be expanding the YouTube channel. Look for more content there and on all social media- Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. With this expansion in the world of RacersHQ I finally get to do something I’ve been wanting to share for a long time: Tech articles and “How To’s.”

There will be no sponsorship for the 2018 season, I just don’t have the funds at the moment. That being said, sponsorship will be open again for the 2019 season, and it will be expanded! I won’t only be looking for autocrossers. If you autocross, race Karts or are a regular on iRacing, APPLY! All social media outlets and the podcast along with a posting here on the site will let you know when applications are open for sponsorship.

I’m looking forward to being your source for involvement in the racing community. If there’s something you’d like to see in particular or a subject you want covered, please feel free to email me here,

Someone you know will love this! Who is it?
